People fooled by PKR

KOTA BAHARU, MON: Pasir Mas member of parliament Datuk Ibrahim Ali said the people have been fooled by Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) that it would be taking over the government tomorrow.

Ibrahim said the people should have been able to gauge PKR’s tactics, as it was only proper that any change of government should be through democratic means, like the general election.

“The people have been made a fool of by PKR, and I don’t see the basis for it (Pakatan Rakyat forming new government) to happen,” he told reporters here today.

He was referring to the oft-repeated statements by PKR advisor Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim that Pakatan Rakyat would form a new government on Sept 16.

And in what appeared to be a desperate move, five PKR leaders were recently sent to Taiwan to tail and persuade Barisan Nasional members of parliament who were there on an agriculture study tour, to cross over to the opposition.

“It was a waste of time and money to go to Taiwan just for that purpose, and I am saddened by such dirty tactics,” Ibrahim said.

He said the people had wasted their time in paying attention to Anwar’s antics.
